Referrals

Professor Lubbe’s practice operates at a tertiary level, focusing on complex cases in rhinology, sinus and skull base surgery, and transorbital approaches. Referrals are welcomed from:

• ENT surgeons, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists and other medical specialists
• General practitioners with an appropriate clinical indication

Direct patient self-referrals are not accepted.

All referrals should include a referring specialist or GP letter clearly stating the clinical question, relevant imaging (CT and/or MRI scans where applicable), and prior clinical notes or operative reports where relevant.

Waiting times vary according to clinical urgency. Complex and post-operative cases are triaged and scheduled accordingly. If you are uncertain whether a referral is appropriate, please contact the rooms.

What to Expect

At your consultation, Prof Lubbe will conduct a thorough assessment including a detailed history and nasal endoscopy where appropriate. She will discuss your diagnosis, treatment options, and any investigations required.

Please bring any previous imaging (CT scans, MRI) or specialist letters to your appointment.

Medical Aid: Prof Lubbe consults as a specialist. Please check with your medical aid regarding cover for specialist ENT consultations.
